(On this day in 1785 the claw sharpening
device, wallpaper, was invented.)
Our gang met at Sycamore Drive. Capo said we
were going to break into number thirty-three and steal their
valuables. While Killer, Satan, Scarface, and Snapbone kept
lookout, Rosepetal and I sneaked in through an open window and
ransacked the place. I got a brilliant plastic duck and a superb
woolly-blue-thingy-with-a-small-tinkly-bell. Rosepetal stole
some gold colored sparkly things from a box marked ‘Antique
Jewelry’ - this stuff may be of interest to humans but it’s of
no value to cats. Rosepetal is a useless thief! Our haul was
given to Capo who looks after all the gang’s swag.
Burglary was very exciting but I do feel very
guilty about stealing such precious things.
I wonder if you can still be an Intellectual
if you are a Burglar.
