Snowball and I went to the beach - it was
absolutely crowded. We tried to walk along the water’s edge but
kept getting splashed. Humans obviously find paddling very
tiring for the beach was covered in people lying half comatose
on their backs. Eventually we found a reasonably quiet spot in
the long grass between discarded polystyrene burger containers.
Out of respect for Snowball’s religion of vegetarianism, I
overcame my desire to eat the mouth-watering scraps of burger.
We chatted for what seemed like a wistful eternity. When I told
her about Killer she smiled and said she knew everything would
work out. I was so happy I wanted to say, ‘I love you,’ but
every time I tried I got fur-balls in my throat.
